Passing through on the Heritage Trail, I couldn’t help but notice the smallest Post Office I have ever seen in Lake Cicott, Indiana. Perched on the edge of a lovely, large lake, with signs for horseback riding and camping all over the place, it is mostly in the middle of, um, nothing. Really, lots of woods (we even saw a deer!) and that was about it…but isn’t it just the cutest thing?

hee hee – thanks for the good laugh – I had post offices like this where I grew up in rural IA!

I think I saw a post office almost exactly this size in Alabama once. I love these petite little things!
That’s the cutest PO I’ve ever seen! Stopping by from SITS! Happy SITS DAY!

This is super adorable. One of those things that only people who love small towns could appreciate.
Happy Sits Day!

@Tanisha and @Jenny — Ha ha! It really was the cutest thing. I just wanted to pick it up and put it in my pocket. I can’t imagine working in such a tiny place — I really want to know how many people have to sit inside that one!
Its on the list of indiana post offices to be closed, my wife and I signed a petition to keep it open but didnt help, it will be missed whenever it does close
Oh no! I am so very sorry to hear that. I hope the building can at least be reused in some way–and not just left to rot. Love that little building! If there’s anything I can ever do, please let me know!!!
