Rensselaer, Indiana: Cruise Night Classics Images
Jan 19th, 2010 | By Jessica Nunemaker | Category: little Towns, Play, RensselaerIt’s that time of year in an Indiana town…you know, when you start yearning for nice weather and the ability to stand outside sans coat without risking frostbite. It leaves me to dreaming about parades, yard sales, fairs, and Rensselaer Cruise Night.
Rensselaer, Indiana Cruise Night
People flock from miles around for Rensselaer, Indiana and their annual Cruise Night. Most folks gather around the square, sometimes setting up blankets hours in advance (no kidding).
Sometimes there is a food vendor or two as well as a car show over at Brookside Park. It’s a nice way to spend an afternoon gawking at cars I will never remember the name of!
Here are a few fantastic cars from this the 2009 Rensselaer Cruise Night! Sweet! See the dates below for the schedule of future events.

What kind of car are you always excited to see at Cruise Night? For me: it’s all about the 50’s and lots of chrome!

I love the idea of traveling to small town America too! I think you get such a different sense of the culture in small towns, and there’s just so much you’d miss if you only stuck to the big cities! What a great idea for a blog!
What day will it be on this year? I can’t wait. It’s always a great time.
Normally it’s the first Saturday following Independence Day.
