Nothing makes my heart go “pitter patter” than seeing a sign for a bookstore when we are exploring a small Indiana town. Hello, Arlston’s Booksellers!
Surpassed my expectations? You betcha! This is a relatively new business in downtown Corydon, Indiana. But, wow–talk about a nice assortment of new and used books! There’s the usual stuff: Romance, Classics, History, and even children’s books, but they take it a step further.
Want a signed edition by a local author? They might have it! Want a book about Indiana history? They probably have that too! I could have easily taken home a book or two (or five or six). We let Kid #1 pick something out for the road. He had a hard time in the choosing and I sure couldn’t blame him!

Arlston’s Booksellers carries such great variety–and they are only just beginning!
The children’s area is so cute. Brightly colored with painted ladybugs, it invites little ones into the world of reading. With titles featuring popular, well-loved characters and unique, interesting lesser known works, any kid will soon dig in and learn to love books.
Our son was thrilled by what he found inside this Corydon, Indiana shop. I think it’s safe to say that young ones in your family will be equally dazzled!
