Danville, Indiana Bakery and Cafe
As gorgeous as the homemade desserts may be, don’t forget the food. This Indiana bakery is a haven of fresh, flavorful foods. Bread Basket Cafe and Bakery uses local products to make mouthwatering soups. But the most popular item on the menu (and one of my favorites) is the chicken salad.
Spread on top of a soft and flaky croissant, it’s loaded with yummy things: grapes, toasted pecans, and apples, well, this is just lip-smacking good. I mean, I’ve had chicken salad, but I haven’t had chicken salad like this. It’s a memorable light lunch.
With so much goodness packed into this charming home turned bakery in a quaint Indiana town, you won’t know where to begin. All I know is–save room for dessert.
Cake. Beautifully decorated cakes in all flavors and colors. Really, do you need any more reason than that?
