It’s a feast for the eyes at Moon on the Square Antiques. The fact that our boys were offered a cookie when we walked in definitely didn’t hurt, either!
Fine art and gorgeous pottery, well, I can’t believe the great good luck that this small Indiana town has in attracting antique dealers. It is an antique-hunters paradise.
At Moon on the Square Antiques, you’ll find art for your walls, great Indiana pottery pieces, and some really sharp furniture. I could take one of everything.

This is also a family-owned shop. Siblings Matt and Leigh (and Matt’s wife, Jean) used to dream about owning a shop together when they retired. But somehow–that happened sooner rather than later!
Combining their favorite items: Matt’s pottery, Jean’s love of vintage, and Leigh’s painted primitives, put a unique spin on the usual antique shop. When they received word of someone building on a lot in Kirklin, they jumped in and started planning.
Labor Day weekend 2011 Moon on the Square Antiques opened its doors–and the rest, as they say, is history!
Leigh projects that within three years the town will hold ten new merchants and have a completely renovated look. Now that’s the spirit of small town community. Let’s hope it serves as inspiration to others as well.
