The Switzerland County Museum in Vevay, Indiana holds a lot of local history! As one of Indiana’s oldest historical societies, they have a very large amount of Switzerland County treasures.
In fact, there is so much Indiana history here that they possess two buildings, and a third one is currently in progress of restoration! It is a phenomenal look back into the beginnings of this bustling river town.
The highlight for me had to be the steamboat models crafted by a local. They are simply incredible–and a hit with kids, too! There’s a lot of ground to cover here. You’ll want to allow yourself plenty of time to browse!
