This week, let’s turn the focus on a very well done farmer’s market in Cambridge City, Indiana. I hope that it serves as inspiration to any towns that have not yet organized a farmer’s market. It’s a prime example of doing things right! Well organized and featuring a variety of local products, this farmer’s market is a new addition to –and takes place Saturday mornings at historic Huddleston House. It’s a great way to combine a historical attraction with local vendors.

They have a slew of excellent vendors that just keeps getting better with each passing week. We browsed through tables laden with handcrafted goods, amazing breads, locally made honey, and even jewelry in addition to the typical fresh from the farm produce you would expect. There was one exception worth noting! In addition to the usual tomatoes, potatoes, and green beans, they even had mushrooms!

With ample parking and shade and a great variety of vendors already, it’s something that I can easily see as becoming very big in the very near future! There’s plenty of room for expansion at Huddleston House–and I’m sure they are going to need it.
