Stepping into our room, we were greeted with a country theme. Appropriate since we are in the middle of the very large Brown County State Park.
A large window overlooked a wooded area–something that Brown County is famous for! The window-seat was certainly a popular reading spot for our two boys. But, once they caught sight of the large pool area complete with water slide, any pleasure over the window-seat was quickly replaced!
They changed so fast they probably set a new record and we all headed down to the new aquatic center. It was around 5:00 and, other than the lifeguards, we just about had the place to ourselves.

We took advantage of the life jackets available to borrow for our boys. With a lazy river, a deeper pool complete with net, basket, and balls, as well as the water slide and toddler splash zone, our boys were rarin’ to get in!
Kid #1 loved the slide. He especially loved the fact that there was no line! He could go as many times as he wanted–which was often!
Kid #2 enjoyed the shallow end where he could splash without having to hold onto mom or dad. The spray “gun” was a fun touch.
After an hour, I headed to the hot tub to relax while hubs played with the kiddos. After a day of endless “don’t touch” while we explored the small Indiana town I know they enjoyed a chance to do something just for them!
