Best Cookie Recipes: Dark Chocolate Orange Cookies

At first bite, I thought that this Dark Chocolate Orange Cookie recipe was pretty good when in fact they are sneaky good! I had eaten three before it even registered. Three. After it registered, I ate three more just because. I absolutely love the combination of chocolate and orange. Whenever I visit an Indiana chocolate shop I make it a point to get chocolate buttercreams with orange filling. If they are  out of that, then I go for lemon. I take my chocolate and orange combinations seriously. The craving must be satisfied!

Now, I’m a frequent baker. There is always a homemade snack in our home–two growing boys and a husband with a big sweet tooth means that I am baking at least twice a week. While I love experimenting and trying new recipes, baking is really fun to me, it does need to fit the family. Nothing too fancy here. I was concerned that these cookies would sound better than they tasted. I was wrong. Kid or adult, we all loved them! I can’t wait to share these with friends. I think they will blow everyone away.

I’m not normally a fan of dark chocolate and yet…I think this great cookie recipe has made me a convert! For a thicker cookie, chill your dough for about ten minutes. For a thinner cookie, use it right away. Thick, soft cookies are my favorite things. Pairing this Dark Chocolate Orange Cookie recipe with a cup of hot coffee was a great match though the kids would argue about that, citing a cup of milk as the all-time best dipper! I found them at Dulce Dough blog.
