Indiana bridges like Friendship Bridge in Friendship, Indiana really amaze me. To think that since 1909 people have been using this bridge is just mind-blowing, don’t you think? I mean, that’s horse and buggy time!

It’s really out there in Friendship, Indiana, surrounded by fields and a smattering of trees. You will want to get your grubby boots on if you plan on making it down into the ravine. There’s usually just enough water there to make it muddy.

Even so, it’s an amazing bridge. I’m so glad that the fine folks of Ripley County have worked with what they have–instead of removing it! Let’s hope it stays in use for the generations to come!
