Big Woods Pizza Company (you can find the menu right there too) in Nashville, Indiana is one more delectable dining option you can add to your list when visiting beautiful Brown County. It all began in 2009.

The Story of Big Woods Pizza Company

Big Woods Pizza Company in Nashville, Indiana: Breadsticks

That was the year that three friends, Ed, Jeff, and Tim (a prolific home brewer), decided to open their own brewpub in the heart of downtown Nashville. As it gained in popularity, and news of the great food and incredible ales spread, they were able to open up a sister location, one that catered to all ages, yet still provided the same quality and atmosphere of the original pub.

More than delicious slices of the ‘za, Big Woods Pizza Company is also a brewery. They’ve got a decent selection of beers that include flavors like Cat Tail Wheat, Busted Knuckle (their signature ale), and Coffee Stout. I had a sip of my husbands’s Busted Knuckle beer and yeah, it was good too. As a matter of fact, I’ve heard that they have used the brewery’s spent grain in the making of their pizza crust. Now that’s clever, creative, and something I’d certainly enjoy tasting.

I heard tell that I should have ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos. It is a supremely popular appetizer–and a huge hit with the locals. I’ve also been told that we need to give the calzone a go at this Brown County pizza joint. Believe you me, based on the yummy pizza we had the last time, I can’t wait to see what else they can do. In other words? It is on the list for our return.

I mentioned in my previous post that we were blown away by the mix of good food, good drinks, and good music. Yes, they do have consistent live music events. The interior of the pizza parlor is so spacious, yet comfortable, there is actually room for it, while still fitting in larger groups.

Who knows what they will come up with next? Look for their live music entertainment on the Little Indiana Calendar tab above, as well as the Big Woods Pizza website (linked to below). After a day of shopping, hiking, biking, and more shopping, it’s wonderful to have a laid-back, relaxing option.

You can easily see the latest doing by following Big Woods Pizza Company on Facebook and Twitter. Even better, show everyone what you are eating or drinking. Tag #littleindiana and #QuaffNaation when you post your Big Woods Pizza Instagram pic. We would all like to see it.

As they like to say, “Quaff on!” I know you will love it.
