Once upon a time, back in the beginning of little Indiana, I didn’t have a clue as to what small towns would possess. If I’d thought about it, I probably would have decided that there were a lot of Indiana antique shops and restaurants.
There is so much more to Indiana towns than great places to eat. And, while there are plenty of great Indiana antique shops, each one is so unique and varied, well, it’s pretty amazing, actually. But after a full day of browsing, snapping pics, and taking notes, we were all ready for something fun and light. That’s when we stumbled upon Toy Chest Toy Store. It’s almost tucked away
Amazing would also be a really good word to describe the Toy Chest Toy Store, too. Over the years, if we’ve learned one thing, it’s to expect anything–and this shop is very big, loads of fun, and certainly not something most people would expect to find in a small town. Consider children’s gift shopping easily done.

Something that Indiana toy stores seem to have in common is not only an incredible selection but plenty of demos. There aren’t just a bunch of brightly colored boxes taking up space on shelves, toys are set up and ready to go so anyone can try before they buy. What an impressive assortment. It’s smart, too. Kids are more apt to want something they can touch.
Kid #1 didn’t know where to begin. Every time he rounded a corner he would find something new to look at and play with.
Toy Chest Toy Store does very well in providing a kid-friendly browsing atmosphere. After so many “don’t touch” sort of shops, our oldest son was ready and raring for something more his style. This fit the bill.

It’s tucked away. It was a shop we didn’t realize was even there until we had already walked through Nashville for a good portion of the day. Do make a note of its location so you make sure to stop here. It’s worth it! They have a fantastic selection of books, board games, stuffed animals, and toys…glorious, glorious toys.
