Whether it’s known as the Portland Arch Cemetery, Portland Cemetery, or Bear Cemetery in Fountain, Indiana, it’s one of my favorites so far!
For a cemetery that’s really in the middle of nowhere (and right near the Portland Arch Nature Preserve), it’s enormous. The headstones are spaced far apart and it’s easy to tell which part of the cemetery is the oldest. It’s just a really neat space to roam.
There are some really incredible headstones at this Fountain, Indiana cemetery–so much detail! If you look in the briar patch, you’ll find a few more!
