Owners Joyce DeVore and Jo Wood head up their traditional fine art gallery from a spacious downtown building. Together, they are able to instruct others while exhibiting the works of local and regional artists. You may find sculpture, paintings, and even jewelry made by people who live in and around Wabash. It’s a wonderful way to perk up your walls at home, or give an amazing one-of-a-kind gift, that won’t be a carbon copy of what everyone else has.
Be on the lookout for special gallery events, like Meet the Artists. They often are accompanied by special pricing–so you can finally pick up that piece of art you’ve been ogling for so long. I know I saw a few Indiana-themed wall hangings and paintings that I really enjoyed. I wonder what you will find during your visit?
The groupings of tables in the back of the shop mean one thing: workshops! Adults can benefit from small group instruction in the various classes offered by the gallery. There have been classes in oil painting, watercolors, and oil painting with a palette knife. You know that learning a new skill like that has been on your “to do” list for so long.
