Quilts, dishware, teacups, collectibles, books, furniture…whatever your little heart desires, well, I am pretty sure you can find it here. I was delighted to see a fabulous display of brooches. If you need costume jewelry, there’s excellent variety. The clever displays make these items look extra tempting.
I’ve always been a fan of old teacups. There’s nothing better than staying at a bed and breakfast and being served the morning’s coffee in one. It makes the morning feel special, don’t you think? Well, at this antique shop, there were many to choose from.
It would be easy to get a great selection of vintage teacups and substitute those instead of the same mugs that everyone else has.

There were quite a few quilts here, too. Since I lack a sewing ability, I am always interested in what other people can do. It’s sad to say, but I even took sewing lessons in fourth grade. I remember that one of the lessons included making a shirt and pants. I made bright yellow pants and a black and white checked shirt with stars in different colors (including yellow).
Unfortunately, when I went to try on the shirt–I discovered that I had made the head hole way too small! I had to rip it out and start that again. I’d love to learn how to sew all over again but for now, I will just admire the works of others.
If you have a guest room or twin-sized bed that could use a quilt, pop in and see what you can find. While you are at it, browse through the cases and shelves of other items, from toys to books. Many of the vendors have a way with arranging.
How do you find this antique shop? It couldn’t be easier. Look for the blue sign in downtown Swayzee, Indiana. You don’t want to miss it.
