Wayne County tourism pro Nancy Sartain and her family joined us for dinner at this popular local destination.
We ordered a couple of different pizzas to share: an everything pizza called the “Americana” and a pepperoni pizza for our boys. I guess you could say we were hungry after a full day of exploring. We listened to local chit-chat and banter while waiting for our order. I love that kind of atmosphere, don’t you?
How did I almost forget to mention the breadsticks? Yum! It sure did hit the spot and fill our very hungry tummies we waited for our very good pizza to arrive.

We talked and laughed and definitely relished our time inside this locally-owned Indiana pizza parlor. I love that about these small town places. You aren’t expected to rush through, and run out, but to take your time and enjoy. We certainly did that!
This Wayne County pizza parlor is clearly a local favorite. Everyone walking in seemed to know everyone else (as is often the case in a small town). There were a few brief bits of cross table chatter. It was fun to see and be a part of.
Bonus: There are picnic tables outside. Isn’t that a very nice option to provide on a summery, sunny day? I’m sure it comes in handy when players of local team sports come into Americana Pizza to celebrate, too.
