Alberto’s Italian Restaurant in Corydon, Indiana does Italian very, very well.
My Italian roots make me particularly picky when it comes to Italian food. It is also the only time I am picky about food. But this Harrison County restaurant managed to shock me with its delicious entrees and beautiful desserts!
Alberto’s Italian Restaurant in Corydon, Indiana
It’s a cozy space. Tables and chairs take up a lot of room. If you happen to arrive during a busy evening, don’t expect a lot of elbow room but do expect a great vibe and upscale feel!
That sense of class is certainly a part of the menu! Appetizers, entrees, dessert–there’s plenty here to keep you busy but not so much as to overwhelm. You’ll find Italian classics like an assortment of Brushetta appetizers, entrees that include favorites such as Chicken Parmigiano, Lasagna, and Chicken Piccata to other creative dishes!
There’s no children’s menu at Alberto’s Italian Restaurant. Children aren’t limited to a wimpy kid’s menu here! Instead, kids may order anything from the adult menu and Chef Al will whip it up in a child sized portion! Our boys really liked that idea.

After we got comfortable, we tried to make up our minds! After a very busy day toodling around small Indiana towns, it was so hard to narrow it down–everything sounded good!
Our dinner date from Corydon’s CVB quickly settled on Spaghetti and Meatballs, her favorite entree at Alberto’s. Kid #2 wanted Eggplant Parmesan, Kid #1 ordered shrimp, my husband tried the Beef Medallions with porcini balsamic reduction, and as for me? I went with the spicy Bucatini Arrabiata (try saying that one five times fast!), a pancetta, capers, spicy Italian relish, marinara, and bucatini pasta dish.
Everything smelled so incredible! Fortunately, everything also tasted amazing. It really hit the spot! Fresh and full of flavor, this was one fantastic Southern Indiana restaurant!
