Peggy Sue’s Diner in Chesterton, Indiana is just a really fun dining option! We visited during breakfast hours for this breakfast and lunch only restaurant. In 50’s style, Peggy Sue’s boasts homemade items! We enjoyed the fast-paced environment and counter seating while we celebrated Kid #2’s birthday. He loved sitting at the counter. He felt like such a big kid! That’s the thing about small town diners, you have got to try the counter seating! I know, I know, it might feel almost like you are on display at first but I promise it isn’t really like that at all. It’s easy access to coffee warm-ups, server chit-chat, and a way to feel
a part of it all (even when you aren’t from the town).
Folks streamed in and out of Peggy Sue’s. This must be popular with the locals (that is always a good sign)! It was the kind of place that you know people visit at the same times every week, ordering the same things, and recognized by the servers. I love that kind of atmosphere. Again: you aren’t a number in a small town! It’s a nice feeling.
Since 2003, Peggy Sue’s has been serving the area–and is it ever good! Everyone was very happy with their order. A fun, family-friendly place to get you ready to tackle all the things to see and do in lovely Chesterton, Indiana.
