Do you live in Richmond, Centerville, Cambridge City, Hagerstown, or within the surrounding area near Wayne County? Are you an artist?
If so, you will want to submit your work for the Dublin Public Library First Annual Art Exhibition!

Open to any area artist, there are no fees–and also no awards. Instead, participants get the chance to have their work critiqued by members of the Whitewater Artists Guild.
What is the Whitewater Artists Guild? Back in 2003, a little group of artsy folks met at a party. Naturally the conversation turned to their favorite subject: art! They decided to keep the discussion flowing and formed the Whitewater Artists Guild.
The Guild promotes art work and participates in critiquing or judging the work of others at events around the area. With many years of art experience behind them, in a variety of genres, the addition of the Guild to this new event helps give it the push forward it needs, backed by professional artists you can trust.

Interested artists must hand-deliver their artwork to the Dublin Public Library. I know that library hours can be tricky. At the time of this writing, and within the date range listed below, the Dublin Public Library hours are:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 3 PM – 7 PM
- Friday: 1 PM – 5 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 2: PM
If those hours don’t quite jive with your schedule, don’t let that stop you! Simply call the library at the number listed below to set up an appointment. They will work with you to help get your work shown. This event is all about promoting the area artists so don’t let wonky hours hold you back! They will arrange a time to help you get IN!
Artwork may be dropped off at the library June 2 – June 5, 2015.
Don’t forget to bring your own easel to display your masterpiece!
The opening reception takes place Friday, June 12, 2015 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM EST. The Whitewater Artists Guild will use that time in order to discuss the work with the artists as well as provide guidance when needed.
After the reception, the artwork will continue to be displayed in the library from June 5 – June 26, 2015.
