French Lick Springs Resort: KidsFest in French Lick, Indiana
I hesitate to say that summer is winding down…but just in case we are closer to the end of summer than I’d like, you should know right now that French Lick Springs Resort isn’t just for grown-ups!
Here at this French Lick, Indiana resort, you’ll find plenty to do for those in the 6 — 12 age set. Younger kiddos are welcomed, but they do need to have a parent stick around.
French Lick Springs Resort KidsFest
We happened to celebrate the birthday of our oldest, known on little Indiana as Kid #1, while at French Lick Springs Resort. It turns out that there was plenty to do to keep him occupied!
KidsFest always has something going on and that day happened to be when kids got a chance to learn golf and tennis inside the ginormous Valley Links Golf Learning Center. Seriously, this place is massive.
Video swing analysis, custom club fitting, and oodles more–it’s packed with stuff to help you stay on top of your game.
Kid-Centered Fun

This wasn’t one of those “everyone has to do this activity right now or else!” kinds of places. When we strolled in, most kids were hanging out in bean bags around the gaming systems playing popular kid-friendly games.
There were coloring books and crayons, paints, board games, a whole slew of dress up items, and loads of other fun stuff just waiting for play!
We used KidsFest as a place to beat the heat for a minute and enjoy some quality family time just playing around.
At the time of this writing, the first hour for resort guests is free.

For a kid that’s seen and done a whole lot of really cool things in Indiana towns (caves, amusement parks, trails, and so very much more) well, even he was impressed. For this just-turned 7 year old, that’s high praise indeed.
There’s fun year round here in Orange County. So don’t be afraid to plan your next big vacation or weekend getaway with the kiddos–they’ll thank you for it!
