Poking around this fun Indiana art gallery, you’ll see a variety of subject matter. Flowers in vivid hues and unique arrangements. Bowls of fruit. Vases and branches, forests and abstracts. No matter what the topic, color takes center stage.
Teals and pinks, bold greens and aquamarine. Yellow, orange, and–there. A black and white painting catches my eye.
I find out it was copied from a photo taken by Holly Jackson’s very own mother back in 1947. As does another work with jewel tones of the lake titled, simply, “Evening.”
So, I brought back a bit of this Porter County town home with me in the form of local art now hanging on my wall.
