It’s easy to miss a little Indiana article here and there. I do update every day! But have no fear, the weekly recap is here!

I had a taste of France this week at Tonya’s Patisserie in Chesterton, Indiana. I also had ice cream. And gelato! I knew this week was amazing for a reason! You’ll want to check out the jewelry shop that specializes in vintage and estate sales, an Indiana antique shop or two, and a trip to historic Huddleston Farmhouse. That’s a lot of fun packed into one week.

If you think this week was incredible, just wait until you see next week!

little Indiana Weekly Recap

Tonya's Patisserie: Chesterton, Indiana

Tonya’s Patisserie: Chesterton, Indiana

Tonya’s Patisserie in Chesterton, Indiana — A simple, tidy exterior belies the warm, homey interior of Tonya’s Patisserie in Chesterton, Indiana. You would never guess that this small but bustling Indiana town holds incredible, delicious desserts–at the hands of a small town gal turned big city chef turned small town entrepreneur.

Images from Clay Township Historical Museum in Greens Fork, Indiana — If you have never been inside the Greens Fork, Indiana Clay Township Historical Museum, you will be blown away by the complete and total dedication to preserving this small Indiana town and their heritage.

Centerville, Indiana: Mockingbird Antiques — Set inside an 1835 built home turned antique shops, Mockingbird Antiques in Centerville, Indiana is full of character–and loads of fantastic treasures!

Wabash, Indiana: Precious Gems and Metals — Judging from the amount of antique shops on little Indiana, it probably goes without saying that I love antiques–so Precious Gems and Metals in Wabash, Indiana was such a fantastic find!

Cucumber Salad Recipe — Cucumbers coming out of your ears, too? Apparently the drought hasn’t affected them one bit! With cucumbers coming at me from neighbors and friends in all directions (how cool is that?), I’ve had to dig up cucumber recipes to use them up.

Overnight Waffles Recipe: Crisp and Buttery — If you have never had a waffle recipe made with yeast before, you don’t know what you are missing! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, these are phenomenal.

Images from Huddleston Farmhouse in Cambridge City, Indiana — Cambridge City, Indiana holds a key to our past in Huddleston Farmhouse on National Road. Built in 1841 by a Quaker family, that later left that church, it’s amazing to think that once upon a time they would have watched scores of soldiers walk past their home on the old National Road.

Dog Days Ice Cream Parlor in Chesterton, Indiana: Year Round Gelato and Sorbello — You say “Summer is almost over” but I say, “Dog Days Ice Cream Parlor in Chesterton, Indiana!” Usually open year round, you’ll find delicious flavors of gelato and sorbello!

Doublehead Trading Company: Cambridge City, Indiana

Doublehead Trading Company: Cambridge City, Indiana

Images from Doublehead Trading Company in Cambridge City, Indiana — In a town with no shortage of antique shops, Doublehead Trading Company in Cambridge City, Indiana holds its own–and should not be missed!

Dairy Master in Loogootee, Indiana: Jumbo Pork Tenderloin and Ice Cream — little Indiana and family happily stumbled upon Dairy Master in Loogootee, Indiana. What else is there to do but eat plenty of ice cream when your car air conditioner fails during a 100* heat wave? When the going gets tough, the tough eat ice cream!

Conrad Music Center Images from Corydon, Indiana — We were absolutely wowed by the selection at Conrad Music Center. As you may remember from the previous article, Conrad Music Center has been in the biz since 1890!
