Danville, Indiana has a very delicious downtown hot spot: the Beehive. This cross between a market and a cafe is your source for all things fresh and flavorful. It’s a unique small business that I know you will love.

Using natural, local ingredients whenever possible, this is your go to option for amazing food. You can’t miss the frozen yogurt fixtures attached to the wall. It’s so clean and modern. Help yourself–you pay for the weight. Grab a bowl and fill it up.

Yummy add-your-own extras like M&M’s, chocolate chips, peanut butter cups, sprinkles, graham crackers, and plenty more are available to jazz up your bowl of basic frozen yogurt. What kid can resist that?

Kid #1 and I decided to share a bowl. We used a combination of tangy vanilla and chocolate. That was really fun. They loved thinking about what items should go into their bowl. I wished that I had made my own by the time we got done with it. But, at least the boys were kind enough to offer me a bite, even if I declined their sugary overload.

It began with bees. After learning about beekeeping from her family, owner Betsy Bassett discovered the numerous health benefits of these natural sweeteners. Betsy takes great pride in using these natural sweeteners in her homemade products as often as possible. You’ll even find bottles of Indiana honey for sale in the Beehive. It’s fitting.

You’ll find a glass case of gorgeous assorted homemade desserts, changing daily soups, savory hand pies, fresh, colorful salads, and a slew of tasty beverages. There’s even Gluten-Free items available. Just ask if you don’t see them.

The Nutella Latte is said to be a customer favorite. Now that sounds good. My husband stated that he could see why it is such a fan favorite. That sounds like the perfect warm-up on a chilly day. We’ve heard that the syrups at the Beehive are all homemade as well. Is there anything that Betsy can’t do? We didn’t think so.

Poke around and you will quickly notice the shelves of fresh fruit and vegetables, the refrigerated cases stocked with artisan cheese and eggs, real butter, and meats, plus crackers and other shelf staples. Folks can stay right there in this Indiana town and have everything they need.
