There’s a lot of reasons why folks are turning to the Paleo diet. It’s not always about losing weight.

But this book takes a slightly different approach, using Paleo as a guideline and not as a black and white model with a range of yummy recipes. It succeeds.

Although I love my potatoes and broccoli way too much to ever exclusively follow the Paleo diet, I definitely appreciate the selection of easy to make slow cooker foods.

Slow Cooking the Paleo Way

Paleo doesn’t mean boring, I’m happy to report. With recipes like Chicken Provencal, Peppery Chicken in Coconut-Mushroom Gravy, South American Style Shrimp Chowder, Sloppy Joes, and Braised Red Cabbage, your slow cooker just may see a great big burst of use!

As a non-Paleo user, many of these recipes sound great to me as is. Otherwise, like many slow cooker recipes, you can easily use the recipes as a fantastic base with which to play!
