Known simply as “Indulge,” this memorable small business is located right in downtown Fortville. It’s easy to find and impossible to forget! Just look for the vivid storefront. It really stands out from the crowd! Is that a welcoming sight or what?

Decorated in stylish contemporary design, Indulge is warm and cozy. Little touches of whimsy like large snowflake-like light fixtures, seating in range of textures and hues, plus bold, vibrant rug designs keep things fun.

Step right up to the old fashioned counter complete with bar stools. This very spot was the location of Heche’s Five & Dime Store back in the day. The original counter still stands and it is gorgeous! They sure knew how to take care of things back then.

But as good as it may look, the food is a complement, not an after-thought, to the grand decor. Everything is homemade and, judging from the couple of items that I personally sampled, just downright incredible!

The food menu is short and sweet though I did hear that there are recent plans for a bit of expansion in that department. Still, there’s plenty here to love (and enough to keep it interesting). Changing daily specials keep it fun.

You’ll find a variety of croissant sandwiches, like Ham and Cheese, Tuna, Turkey, or (my recommendation) the Chicken Salad. There’s a range of wraps, salads, and soups. Those wanting a blast from the past may opt instead for a Fluffernutter, that peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich combo that was once a very popular snack!

Go There

Whether you need a full meal or just a snack to tide you over, don’t pass up the chance to pop into Indulge Ice Cream Parlor and Cafe in Fortville, Indiana!

Finish up your meal with a Pink Elephant, the signature dessert (and town mascot) of  Indulge. This strawberry ice cream and soft drink combination is popular with folks of every age! I admit I left out the soft drink part of things–but it was still great and super cute.
