Carpenter Creek Cellars Winery in Remington, Indiana (right near Rensselaer, Indiana) may not be a year old (it just opened in Spring of 2013) but it’s certainly snagging awards and plenty of attention! Of course, everyone near these two small towns are completely thrilled about the new area attraction. It’s not every day that a winery moves in! But after years of paperwork, it has finally become a reality–and a great place to catch the occasional live music event.
This Remington, Indiana winery features sweeping country views and a fantastic old red barn that’s pretty as a picture. It’s also been completely renovated for use as a wine tasting room. How renovated? Well, it was originally a 1919 built horse barn! All traces of its former farmming days have been erased. Now, it’s a charming spot for friends old and new to kick back.
Inside, you’ll find that welcoming Hoosier hospitality and bottles of wine to fit every taste. It’s a comfortable place for those who may just beginning to delve into Indiana wines. You will find the folks here to be knowledgeable and friendly! They are sure to put you at your ease as you explore the different tastes that the grapes of Indiana can provide. Carpenter Creek Cellars Winery is a wonderful new Indiana winery just off the beaten path. The country views are worth the brief trip off of the interstate alone.
