We ventured to Lowell’s Pizza House in Lowell, Indiana for Kid #1’s 8th birthday dinner .

Located right downtown, it was easy to find this great Indiana pizza parlor!

Mmm, pizza! There’s a lot to choose from at Lowell’s Pizza House.

At this Lake County pizza place, they make a thin crust that locals just rave about. Known for their Chi-Town pizza that comes with Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and onion, it was hard to resist but…Kid #1 loves sausage and pepperoni pizza. We decided to go with half sausage and half sausage and pepperoni.

But we couldn’t stop there! We were celebrating, after all. We gave the appetizer menu a look.

Garlic cheese bread, jalapeno poppers, French fries, chicken fingers, cheese sticks, and even a side salad meant we had decisions to make! Hubs decided the only option was to go with the Grand Combo. The Grand Combo is a tempting platter of fried goodness that included Mozzarella Sticks, Jalapeno Poppers, Chicken Fingers, Zucchini, Mushrooms, and Onion Rings.

It was good but the star was definitely the pizza! I love a tasty thin crust and a sauce with plenty of flavor–Lowell’s Pizza House had both! Yay!

I do feel a need to return because I’ve been told that they make one amazing Italian beef sandwich. Hey, it’s research!

Lowell’s Pizza House is a good example of why we only eat pizza from mom and pop shops. There’s just no comparison! When you are in the mood for pizza, head to this neat Indiana town–and bring the gang! With a spacious dining room below and loft seating above, they can handle a big group!
