I saw so many things I have never, ever seen before! You would think it would be hard to miss three big as life statues, but until the owner pointed them out, I didn’t even see them! That’s what happens when there is just so much to see.
Although I assumed they belonged to the decor of some sort of restaurant, I learned from the owner that that isn’t the case at all! Originally part of a “man cave,” the new Mrs. decided that these huge, detailed statues just couldn’t have a place in their home. I think they are really kind of neat!
The man’s job took him all over the world–and he found each of these places in the country you see represented. That’s just a couple of the many more unique vintage items for sale at 4th Street Emporium!
Chesterton, Indiana Antique Shop
When it comes to curiosities, that isn’t all! Look inside the front window. You can’t miss the carousel animals. Think of the children that once loved these carefully painted and colorful objects.
But it’s not all items that are larger than life. You will find a lot of your typical antique items: furniture, art, primitives, vintage clothing and linens, housewares, and very neat books.
Really, there’s some fantastic pieces of furniture here. The price is certainly right, too!

Some of you may find the building of 4th Street Emporium in Chesterton, Indiana familiar. It served as the community post office for many years!
But today, it houses one amazing Indiana antique shop, I highly recommend it! The owner is a super nice lady and very knowledgeable about the more unusual pieces in her shop.
