The owner is the extremely personable, Barbara Jean Young. She loves what she does and enjoys bringing in new products that she finds to line her shelves.
Barbara Jean and the staff are also great at helping customers find the perfect gift.
When I stopped there just before Christmas, I bought gifts for four different people and a white elephant gift (a Santa pants gift bag with gourmet pasta in one leg and sauce in the other). Plus, both my kids left with a bag of candy coated sunflower seeds.

I’ve gone shopping at Barbara Jean’s Gifts and Gourmet quite a few times in search for something different for family and friends.
They have an assortment of locally made products including specialty foods, arts and crafts. One of my favorite things at the store is hand painted glasses in fun designs.
My friend Megan picked up one around Halloween with beads for the spiders at the bottom and the woman’s legs painted down the stem of the wine glass.
