Historic and amazing, the Anson Wolcott House in Wolcott, Indiana may have been the founder’s home long ago, but now it’s open during special events and houses town history.
There is so much to love about this White County home! Curved walls, interesting layout that featured separate yet connected bedrooms for the mister and missus, and many fireplaces (eight!)–except in the servant’s quarters!
The home is always open for tours during the town’s big 4th of July festival, during a special one day Christmas event, and specific days during the week. Please call ahead to learn the schedule before heading out. I am rather embarrassed as these images date back, oh, July of 2011 but it’s better late than never!
