Merry Christmas, Indiana! I don’t know exactly what I’m doing today. I’m planning ahead and writing this out ahead of time so I can take the day off. Oh, and the next day too–the 26th is my birthday don’t’cha know. I figured maybe I’ve earned it. I did write a book this year, after all!

Most likely I will be eating ham and, if I’m really lucky, it will be spiral-cut. If I’m really, really lucky there will be turkey. Mmm turkey.

I probably spent all day yesterday making cookies and bars because that’s what I love to do! If I head to a friend’s house today, I’ll be bring a salad and some sort of dessert, most likely Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake. If we head to my parents, then I will bring ALL THE THINGS (including the cheesecake). Either way, I get to cook and bake and that makes me a happy camper!

So, here’s a reminder not to forget to do the things that make you happy! I plan on board games and conversation and sipping on a bit of Indiana wine. I will NOT head to the grocery store if I forget something but will find a neighbor or go without. If I see someone walking on the side of the road, I’ll ask if they need a ride. Share the love this holiday. A Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Let It Snow (and then GO PLAY IN IT)
