Monrovia Mudworks in Mooresville, Indiana is a wet clay studio providing workshops in learning to make items on the wheel, to hand-build or sculpt, along with other unique scheduled classes and events.
By now, everyone should understand the importance of art. In children, art helps develop motor skills, visual learning, vocabulary development, and so much more. For adults, art is as important as ever! It can improve your quality of life, inspire, provide purpose, and keep your brain sharp. It’s a great outlet for stress relief and has been used as a form of therapy for folks suffering from depression.
Did you know they are capable of hosting groups? For a real team-building event, let folks get creative in a different way. Between the retail space and the ample workshop, there’s loads of room! Making your own windchime is a nice and easy introduction to art for people (like me) that have never had much in the way of hands-on art projects. That’s precisely what the group I was with did: we had wonderful shapes made out of clay thanks to the efforts of a previous class. We could pick and choose our bead colors and shapes. We strung them up and voila! The end result looked really great! It was a one-of-a-kind piece that even I could handle. It didn’t take a really long time and worked well for a variety of ages. That’s what I really love about Monrovia Mudworks. They have found a way to make art accessible for the community (and beyond).
