Ruggables Two Piece Rug System

Ruggables Two Piece Rug System

What if there was a way to have an attractive, stylish rug in your home that didn’t need any special treatment?

What if there was a way to easily care for a rug without a lot of hassle? A rug that it was actually okay to walk on and use, something that didn’t feel like it needed to be put in a tucked away corner, but could handle the every day stresses with ease–and that didn’t require professional cleaning? Let me introduce you to my new little friend: Ruggable.

Why Try a Ruggable Rug?

I was skeptical. I read the information on the Ruggable website, I saw the pretty rugs. I wondered if it would look as great as it sounded and be as easy to clean as they stated. It just seemed too good to be true.

Ruggable rugs are a two piece rug system. I  know, that phrasing threw me for a loop as well. What is a two piece rug system? The bottom layer of the Ruggable’s two piece system is a gripper. The non-slip base is 100% polyester with a latex rubber backing.

Lay the bottom piece, the one with a bit of grip to it, on the floor. Then unroll the other stylish layer over the top, smooth out the wrinkles, and press together. That’s it! I love that I don’t need to go out and hunt down rug grippers.

It’s the top of the rug that’s really something! That’s the part that you can wash from the comfort of your home in your very own washing machine. Yes, the top piece can be machine washed right from the comfort of your own home. How awesome is that? No expensive shampooing vacuum rentals!

Ruggable Rug Review: A Washable Floor Rug!

I love the rug I chose so much that I couldn’t decide where it should be placed. Should it go in my office, where its cheery blue pattern will perk up the floor or should I use it in the front parlor, a nice contrast to the one hundred year old wood floors? In the end, I did something a little different.

Our front porch doesn’t get rain. So, although this is an inside rug, and I am sure the company recommends that you follow their guidelines, I felt good about using it on the front porch. I am happy to see, however, that they have reserved a spot on the website for outdoor rugs! I can’t wait until they release that line, especially if it features the same coloring as their indoor rugs.

Unlike your standard, traditional rugs that you unroll, lay flat, and carefully clean, Ruggable rugs are different! They might still have traditional patterns available, but the way they are cared for and, indeed, the two piece system is definitely a new idea.

If you can’t mosey on by my front porch to take a gander at my fun new rug, then you can at least enjoy the images and the video above to get a better idea of what this company has to offer. I have a feeling that our Hoosier homes are about to get a whole lot more stylish!
