Gleaming glass containers hold a great variety of drool-worthy bulk candy. Large clear glass jars line the gleaming counter-top. There are attractive displays along the windows. Since Easter was the holiday closest to our visit, they had the pastel egg theme going on. They also happened to have the biggest chocolate Easter egg I have ever seen. I definitely wouldn’t mind receiving that one in my Easter basket. I can tell you now that I wouldn’t share it either.
Since this is part of the gorgeous Charley Creek Inn, a classy boutique hotel, you know it’s also really nice and super clean. The atmosphere in the candy shop matches that of the hotel. As we have noticed everywhere we have explored inside this building, the people are always very friendly and ready to serve. If you need an opinion, they are happy to help guide you to the best choice for you.
We decided to let our oldest pick out a treat. After all, it seems wrong to take a child into a candy shop and not let him choose something. Kid #1 couldn’t decide. He bounced around from one end of the shop to the other, weighing his choices. With such an assortment, anyone would have trouble choosing.
In the end, he was completely taken with the Gummi Army Men. Is that a fun little spin on the traditional gummy candies or what? My husband, Jeremy, also snuck a bag of Gummi Bears in there, too. I guess he doesn’t like to share, either. What is with the two of them and Gummi Bears? All of those interesting candies and chocolates and that’s what they pick out. Both of them. How funny.

Here at the Charley Creek Inn Candy Shoppe, you’ll find a variety of fudge, other chocolates, and regional products.
But there’s more than candy and chocolate to this downtown locale–they’ve also got ice cream. It’s an ice cream parlor and sweet shop all rolled into one.
While there isn’t any Blue Moon ice cream (sad face) there are plenty of other yummy flavors. You’ll find the typical favorites in the refrigerated case. Get it by the scoop. On a warm day, that would be a great way to cool off while walking the lovely downtown.
The Charley Creek Inn Candy Shoppe is kind of your one-stop shop for fun treats. It’s convenient location set inside the hotel is certainly a bonus. I’m pretty sure that Kid #1 would agree.
