The Porch Cafe and Books in Danville, Indiana is one of the few places little Indiana and family have ever entered that boasted a completely organic menu. Everything was so fresh and delicious at this cafe! Keeping their menu short and sweet means that each and every homemade entree receives the proper attention! But that’s not to say that the menu was boring. There were wonderful family favorites like chicken pot pie, white chicken chili, and an assortment of sandwiches.
Teas reign here. There are so many teas it was near impossible to choose just one! I can vouch for the excellence of the peach tea. I think I drank three full glasses of the stuff! It was so good.
Oh–and if you are a larger group, get a pitcher of tea to share. It’s a better deal and, since the teas are so excellent, even non tea drinkers might want to join in the tasting! I loved the way you could reach for a book and flip through it right from your table. This small business had such a great atmosphere! I know I would enjoy settling in with a pot of tea, sipping, relaxing, and flipping through books. Sounds like a dream, right? Make your way to this family owned cafe and make it a reality!
