East End Double Dip Ice Cream Shop in Peru, Indiana
What’s really neat about this Indiana ice cream shop are the flavors. They have an excellent variety. There’s far more than chocolate and vanilla ice cream at this mom and pop parlor.
It was pretty easy for everyone to figure out what they wanted, even with all the choices. How is that possible? I wanted to surprise Kid #1 with rainbow-colored ice cream. I knew he would just love it. Kid #2 got a shake because it’s easier for those tiny hands to hold, and my husband, Jeremy, went for the mocha chip kind of thing. Its exact name escapes me…I was too intent on my own selection, I am afraid.
Deciding on what flavor of ice cream I want is no simple decision. I wanted to try their Fall special, pumpkin ice cream but then I noticed lemon ice cream on the menu and…you know my obsession with lemon.
Ice Cream and More at East End Double Dip
This Miami County ice cream parlor also advertises some things that certainly sound interesting: Brownie Bowl, Turtle Sundae, and Strawberry Shortcake. Along with a whole big old list of ice cream. Cherry amaretto, caramel cafe latte…and interesting specials all the time.
Some of the more intriguing flavors include chocolate mocha shakes, puppy chow hurricanes, or what about a mocha chip shake? They have ice cream creations so good, you can’t help but plan a return trip.
Now, do you see why it could so very hard to decide? As you can see from the image, I had to go with the lemon ice cream. It was so good. Cool and creamy with just the right amount of lemon. Yum! A great way to cool off for sure. Grab a seat at one of the tables with rainbow umbrellas and watch the cars go by.
It isn’t only ice cream. Look for items on the East End Double Dip menu that include Stromboli sandwiches, submarines, hot ham and cheese, and pizza. Follow it up with a mocha shake, a lemon soda, or a cherry soda. They look so pretty.
