We didn’t even realize there was a music store in Peru. We had had a specific agenda that day. I was taking photos for a client, but it wasn’t an all day long kind of a thing. I knew I would have time to explore. I had never visited Peru before so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
I can tell you that I didn’t expect so many amazing buildings downtown. While it is true that the town of Peru has seen better days, it is also true that, for what is left behind, there is an excellent variety, with many high quality, incredible shops and restaurants. We were thrilled. What a great place to spend the day.
We didn’t realize that Peru boasted a music shop at all, let alone one as amazingly stocked as Peru Music Center. We were impressed by the range of pianos. When was the last time you saw a huge space dedicated to them? It’s been a very long time for me. That’s kind of the way it was with a slew of instruments. There were so many. Our oldest thought it was neat to see all of the instruments on display. I would love to be here when someone comes in needing something new (or used) as starts testing out the equipment. That would be so fun to hear.

As it was, we were pretty happy just poking around and taking it all in. For anyone in the area, you should know that they do offer guitar lessons.
