Scout Mountain Winery in Corydon, Indiana was such a welcome and unexpected surprise. Everyone is so nice, the wine freely flows–and it’s good! Grab a seat along the counter or at one of the small bistro-style tables nearby. Then, get to business! There’s a list of the flavors of wine that you may sample.
I brought a bottle home of the 4/40, a limited edition celebrating four years in business and forty years of marriage. What an accomplishment for both events! This Corydon, Indiana winery may only have a few official years in the business, but the owner has been experimenting with wine for many, many more–and you can taste the difference! I love that he has had such a passion for fiddling around with wine to make a great glass and now he has his own winery. I think that’s just a wonderful story, don’t you?
If you have yet to visit an Indiana winery, this would be a great first stop! It’s unpretentious, friendly, and full of great wine choices. Shopping local just got a whole lot easier. You’ll feel very welcome here. There are some local products available in the fridge as well. I highly recommend the goat cheese. It’s absolutely delicious. Look for different events held here throughout the year. It sounds like an amazing venue!
