Rensselaer, Indiana: Christmas Parade 2010

5 Flares 5 Flares ×

I love a parade! I love a parade, love a parade, love a parade! I’m feeling more in the Christmas mood (which may have something to do with me heading to Santa Claus, Indiana this weekend) and for the simple joy of watching a small town Christmas Parade.

Rensselaer, Indiana has an annual Christmas Parade that runs through the cute downtown area (which is all decked out in Christmas lights). Local businesses and organizations get involved, like girl scout troops, the Rensselaer Bombers High School Football team, and so many more. Special guest that rounds out the parade is Santa! Are his reindeer adorable or what?

About Jessica Nunemaker

Jessica Nunemaker is the little Indiana owner, Host of a little Indiana segment state-wide on PBS and Publisher of the little Indiana Quarterly magazine. Sometimes, she even sleeps. You'll usually find Jessica gallivanting around Indiana towns (population 15,000 and less) with her husband, Jeremy, and two boys (ages 7 and 3) in tow in search of where to stay, play and eat in small towns across the state! Small towns: destinations, not drive-thrus!
