I am in love with Eagles Theater in Wabash, Indiana. It’s what movie theaters should be but something you, unfortunately, seldom see. It makes going to the movies an experience and not just something to do.

This small town theater wows me. I love the history from the early days of the Eagles Theater. I love the fact that there’s a ball room at the top of the theater. It’s an amazing space and I hope that someday something wonderful will happen to that, too. I’m happy to see that the refurbishment and grand opening hasn’t made the theater over-priced. Believe it or not: these Wabash theater prices are actually reasonable!

At the time of this writing, Eagles Theater has Free Movie Mondays through the Summer! Yay! They frequently show oldies but goodies. I’ve heard they have had all sorts of classic films as well. I was so tempted to make the trip when I saw their summer line-up. During the holiday season, there are special runs of all of those holiday faves. Love those Indiana towns. I wonder if they’ve been able to pack the house like back in the “Good Old Days?” It’s not very often that a complete and total refurbishment means inexpensive fun for all–but I’m so glad it did. This is what every small town needs, a place to just get away from it all for a few hours at the kind of pricing that whole families can afford.
