Journey’s End in Bourbon, Indiana is the place to be when you have a craving for a good Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and Beer Battered Fries. My husband, Jeremy, and I We had been driving for awhile and were ready to take a break. It was time for lunch.
We were so hungry after a big drive. The town was so small we were trying not to get our hopes up. Would they even have a restaurant? After we saw the sign for Journey’s End, and that it was open, we couldn’t get inside fast enough. It smelled really good in there.

Journey’s End has two sides to it, a bar section and a family-dining section. We sat in the shiny new family dining section. It had just been renovated and looked fabulous. After we were situated, we asked for recommendations on what to order. You do know that that is the best way to get a meal that you will absolutely love, right? Always find out what locals love. Then? Order it!
Our server recommended the pork tenderloin sandwich. I claimed immediate “dibs” on that one. She also said they do great fries. Well, golly, count me in! No one needs to try to sell me on fries. They weren’t just any fries though, they were beer battered fries.
My husband had a huge, sloppy, knife and fork kind of burger thing going on. They called it a Texas chili cheeseburger. he called it “good.” He really enjoyed it but we both agreed that my pork tenderloin sandwich was one of the most memorable yet. Seriously, those beer battered fries are absolutely incredible! I cannot get them out of my head. I want to make a return trip and order my same exact meal.
My pork tenderloin sandwich, as you can probably gather from the images below, was ginormous. Really, it is as big as your head. No way could I finish it, especially after all the mozzarella bites I ate. Did I mention the appetizers? Yes, we were told that the mozzarella bites were a popular item. Wow. I can see why! Elbows were possibly thrown as we neared the end of our plate of Bites. It was a sad moment. At least there was no end to the delicious food found inside. I can’t recommend Journey’s End in Bourbon, Indiana enough. Fabulous food, period.
