So in we stepped inside to see what this Jefferson County shop was all about.

I felt like I stepped into an episode of Sesame Street! A green grocer right downtown? Incredible!
What was even more incredible were the fantastic prices and excellent, fresh selection. But I guess after being around for so many years, you know what you are doing.
For over eighty years they’ve been keeping this Indiana town (and beyond) well stocked in fresh fruit and veggies.

Here at A. Dattilo Fruit Company, you are surrounded by Indiana history. I don’t just mean the sheer age of this Indiana fruit market, either.
You can’t not notice the town memorabilia posted up around the walls. What great photos! That’s what I love about small business like this, the homey touch of those mom and pop shops.
There aren’t any strict guidelines to follow, no corporate rules to go by–if it’s something that a small biz owner likes and enjoys…they put it up.
To me, that’s infinitely more interesting! It’s never been more apparent than here within A. Dattilo Fruit Company.
