Lumpy’s Cafe in Cambridge City, Indiana may be the home of a super fantastic pork tenderloin sandwich (more adjectives gives it more oomph, right?) but there’s plenty more to this mom and pop restaurant than that, like delicious burgers and community. It’s one of those places where the regulars always sit in the same places, ordering the same things, and the servers always know what to bring them. Yes, there’s cross-table chatter here too.
For starters, this Wayne County restaurant is very kid friendly. With a selection of small toys to play with before the meal arrives as well as a crayons and a hat to color, the kids stayed entertained. I love when restaurants go out of their way to keep kids entertained. You can bet it is a selling point when deciding where to dine.
For another–there’s more than a few good entree choices! I watched something called the Pony Shoe (or an equally unusual name) go by the table. You can see that delectable-looking plate below. Thanks for letting me snap a pic! Anything covered in cheese fries sounds like a good idea to me. Add in the menu that includes a perfect pork tenderloin sandwich, how can you resist Lumpy’s Cafe?
