Are you enjoying your summer like Little Indiana and family have been?
This week was so much fun. I had the chance to check out the oldest record store in Indiana that was absolutely packed with new records, visited a brand new shabby chic home decor shop, and revisited a great vegan and gluten-free friendly coffee shop. There was time to whip up a batch of my new favorite thing: White Chocolate No Bake Cookies. Oh my word. These are so good all on their own but wow are they incredible crumbled over vanilla yogurt and sliced Indiana strawberries.
If you are a small business owner, you will definitely want to check out the latest article from Eli Rose Social Media Company that posts every Tuesday–this week’s article: Why Do Businesses Use Social Media? We also checked in with this week’s Featured Indiana Blogger, Indiana University Press. Find it all below.
Now, if you thought this week was fantastic, just wait until you see next week.
Little Indiana Weekly Recap
Indiana Bloggers: Hoosier Updates from Around the Web 6/23/2013 — 6/29/2013 — I thought it would be fun to highlight one article each week from the Hoosier bloggers you know and love. You know, previously Featured little Indiana Bloggers.
Hi Fi Stereo Shop: Indiana’s “Longest Playing” Record Store in Fairmount, Indiana — Who would have thought that Indiana’s oldest record store would be found in Fairmount, Indiana? Hi Fi Stereo Shop doesn’t just carry records–they carry new records.
Easy (Healthy) Addition to Recipes: Linwoods Superfoods Blends Review — If you’ve been following along little Indiana for any length of time, you know that I have a wheat germ obsession and sneak it into baked goods every chance I get. Move over, wheat germ. I have a new favorite. It’s Linwoods Superfoods Blends.
White Chocolate No Bake Cookies — White Chocolate No Bake Cookies are a great twist on the classic Chocolate No Bake Cookie recipe. With close friends that are allergic to chocolate (tragic, right?), it’s also one that I was eager to try.
Images from Red Cup Cafe in Chesterton, Indiana — If it’s the local hangout you want, then Red Cup Cafe in Chesterton, Indiana is probably it. This would be especially true if you are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free. A unique, eccentric interior, fair trade coffee, and homemade goods makes for quite the experience here in Porter County.
Why Do Businesses Use Social Media? — One of the most frequent questions I hear is “Who uses social media, anyway?”. The answer is simple: your customers and prospective customers.
Dragonfly Cottage: Shabby Chic Decor in Gas City, Indiana — Downtown Gas City, Indiana has a fabulous new addition: Dragonfly Cottage. You can’t miss the sign–it’s definitely eye-catching and just a hint at the excellent things waiting for you inside.
Images from Dove Cottage in Madison, Indiana — Madison, Indiana has some many things to see and do downtown that a stay at Dove Cottage Guest House will certainly help keep you close the action.
Indiana Blogs: Indiana University Press Blog — Indiana University Press Blog is an Indiana blog that deals with books, books, and more books–and many of them are of regional interest. If you have ever wanted to really dig into Indiana, well, everything, then Indiana University Press is the way to go.
